San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band performs at Super Bowl City!
On Sunday January 31st, the LGBA member band, San Francisco Lesbian and Gay Freedom Band (SFLGFB) Marching Band and Pep Band performed at Super Bowl City! The Two performances were:
• SFLGFB Marching performance at 11:30 am – 12 Noon marching through Super Bowl City and
• SFLGFB Pep performance (stationary) at 12:30 pm at The Fan Stage located in the Fan Energy Zone at Justin Herman Plaza
Super Bowl City was a free-to-the-public, interactive theme park experience designed to celebrate the milestone Super Bowl 50 and to highlight its unique place in the Bay Area. Designed to showcase the best the Bay Area had to offer, with interactive games and activities that highlight the region’s technological prowess, culinary excellence and cultural diversity, Super Bowl City featured family-friendly activities for fans of all ages. Of course, the SFLGFB as “the official band of San Francisco,” was there! Congratulations to SFLGFB for their groundbreaking performances. Congratulations also go to Super Bowl City organizers for recognizing the unique art form that LGBA bands represent.
